A traditional view of the network

• We think of the firewall as the point of ingress/egress

• But nowadays, there are VPNs

• We're getting used to the idea of "internal" hosts outdoors

But what about migratory hosts?

• Contractors who come in, and attach to your network

• Employees who take laptops home, and have WLANs there

• Stuff you didn't even realize had a wireless interface
